Hello friends, it’s been too long. We’re kicking off 2021 with a new digital exclusive by the Parisian-based bassist and producer Westbrook. If you’re familiar with Olivier Azémar’s modern funk alias, your ears may have been blessed by his 7-inch release on the pioneering Omega Supreme Records. Or maybe you’ve heard his collaborative, funk-influenced house and footwork project, Cee-O-Funk. Either way, you’re in for a treat. Desire features his hallmark rubbery bass lines and slick grooves, distilling some of the most beloved funk stylings from past decades into a song that fits like a (white leather) glove into any funk-forward mix. Laced with Mae Rojas’ fiery pop vocals, you can’t miss.
