California-based duo Nicofasho and Azmito throw up a G-Funk sound that’s wavier than a static-charged Jheri curl. We’ve placed these two tracks on wax in anticipation of their November full-length album. On the A side is Live From the Funktion, where Nicofasho assembles the Vancouver homie Jay Worthy (LND DRGS) and G Perico from South Central LA to give us something real smooth to roll to. Basement Funk makes it obvious: the B side stands for boogie. Here, Nicofasho teams up with San Diego rapper Vade One and Reality Jonez for the soulful hook.
